Allocation and investment plan

Targets by domain and pocket, the health score that measures drift, and a rebalancing plan that is never executed.

On this page

Set how you want to split your portfolio, then compare your targets with current positions. Domains organize broad categories; sub-pockets describe the purpose of each part of your capital. Until you save a mandate, the page shows your current split without targets, gaps or bands, and offers two options: save the default split as it is, or answer the investment plan questionnaire. Pro adds a rebalancing plan you can review and carry out yourself if you choose.

Four domains

Liquidity & stability, Cryptocurrencies, Financial markets, Other assets: the economic role of what you hold, not its technical type.

Pockets with bands

Inside a domain, a pocket carries a purpose and a minimum, target and maximum in percent. Drift inside the band is tolerated.

A health score

100 minus the points of drift beyond the bands, with one verdict: On track when every domain sits inside its band, Outside bands otherwise.

A rebalancing plan (Pro)

Flows between domains and sub-pockets with amounts and an estimated cost, plus the unassigned capital to place, for you to carry out yourself, or not.

Four domains, then pockets

  • Other assets

A pocket groups positions with the same purpose: Reserve, Yield, Long term, Tactical, Diversifier or a custom purpose. Give it a target and a minimum/maximum range.

Domain targets total 100% of the portfolio. Within a domain, pocket targets total 100% of that domain. For example, a domain at 60% with a pocket at 50% allocates 30% of the portfolio to that pocket.

How positions are assigned

Open a position in the Assignments by account list to choose its pocket in the panel that opens. Each account shows its five largest valued positions first; the line below reveals the others. Positions without a price are grouped apart and show – rather than an amount. Tokens with no known market, that neither Patrima's price sources nor your wallet provider can price (often tokens sent to the wallet without being requested), are grouped under No known market: they count as zero and do not make the measure partial. Spot holdings are classified per account and asset; yield and lending positions are classified individually. Lending contributes its net value: collateral minus debt.

You can add a rule for future imports under Automatic assignment rules, at the bottom of the page. A manual assignment is preserved during later synchronizations.

Health score and drift

On the Dashboard, the allocation health score summarises drift beyond your tolerance bands. Aligned means every domain remains within its band; Outside bands means at least one domain is outside its band.

The Allocation page shows historical drift against the targets in effect on each date, under Drift history in its lead card. Changing a target can therefore change this reading without a change in your positions.

USD valuation only

Balances in currencies other than the US dollar, such as euros, are not converted: they do not contribute to totals, which may therefore represent only part of your portfolio. A euro stablecoin with a market price, such as EURC, is valued at its dollar price; one without a price stays unvalued. Unvalued positions are flagged; on partial data, gaps to the bands are not shown and rebalancing amounts remain unavailable.

Investment plan

The investment plan is the profile behind your targets: scope, goal, horizon, risk tolerance and experience, as answered in the questionnaire. It can be edited at any time from the Investment plan page, and the rules of the suggestion are described in First steps. Editing your profile never changes your allocation silently: a new suggestion applies only once you accept it.

Rebalancing planPro plan

On Pro, the plan proposes flows that bring each domain, and each sub-pocket within its domain, back within its band: each flow shows an amount, a source and a destination. Only mobilizable capital moves: a lending deposit or a pool counts; a PT before its maturity, a staking, a lock, a position whose nature is not known, lending collateral (including a deposit that backs a loan) or a position without a price does not. Capital that sits in no sub-pocket of its domain is listed apart as capital to assign, with no cost: assigning it is done in the positions list, with no transaction. When a domain is outside its band and no executable flow reduces it, the plan says so and why, instead of reading balanced.

Displayed costs are indicative estimates, not a quote from your platform: actual fees are confirmed there. Keeping the current split remains an option, and Patrima does not carry out these flows for you.

Never executed

The plan lists steps for you to carry out yourself on your exchange or wallet. Patrima is read-only by design: it has no way to move funds, and no button to try.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between target allocation and current allocation?

The target is your decision: how you want your capital split. The current allocation is measured from your actual positions. The page compares the two; drift beyond the tolerance band reads Outside bands on the dashboard and, on Pro, feeds the rebalancing plan.

What do overweight and underweight mean?

They are relative to your target: overweight means a domain or pocket holds more than its target percentage, underweight less. They are not judgments about the asset itself.

What are pockets for?

A sub-pocket groups positions by purpose. Its percentages are relative to its domain. A sub-pocket still used by an open position, a rule or a trading plan cannot be archived or moved to another domain; a position sold or closed no longer counts, and archiving clears it. A position you ignore, or one on an archived account, does not block either: archiving keeps its assignment, and moving the sub-pocket to another domain removes it. Changing the purpose of a Reserve is refused only while a trading plan buys from it.

How do I assign positions to pockets?

Open a position in the Assignments by account list and choose its sub-pocket in the panel that opens; the change applies right away. Spot positions are assigned per account and asset; yield and lending positions individually. Add rule, under Automatic assignment rules, applies a choice to future imports of the same kind; protocol and chain are compared without case. A sub-pocket chosen by hand still wins over any rule and is never replaced by a synchronization.

Is a stablecoin always classified under Cryptocurrencies?

A stablecoin may technically be an on-chain token; economically, its default classification is Liquidity & stability. Where it is held (exchange, on-chain wallet, broker or manual entry) is shown on its account. You may explicitly assign it to a Cryptocurrencies pocket when the strategy carries greater crypto exposure; the interface flags the override without blocking it.

Can I classify the same asset differently across two accounts?

Yes. A spot position is identified by account and asset. Bitcoin in cold storage can therefore belong to a long-term pocket while bitcoin on an exchange belongs to a tactical one. On an internal transfer, an existing destination assignment wins; otherwise the destination inherits the source.

Why is a non-USD asset marked "USD valuation only"?

The balance is not converted into dollars and does not enter totals. The position's panel carries this note, and the position is listed among those without a price: totals then do not represent your whole portfolio.

Why does the allocation say it was measured on part of the portfolio?

At least one position could not be fully valued. The page header then shows Measure · partial, and the Assignments by account card explains the effect and groups the positions without a price, each with its reason. A missing asset can lower the total; a missing debt can raise it.

Check the asset's identity and data status. A token with no known market does not cause it: it counts as zero, in the No known market group. Avoid removing a position you still own simply to clear the warning. A non-USD asset remains excluded while the app cannot value it. See Understand your data.

Why must my percentages total 100%?

Targets describe how all of your capital is split, so domain targets must sum to 100%, and sub-pocket targets within a domain as well. The editor shows both totals as you type, moves a band with its target, names the domain or sub-pocket to correct, and keeps the preview unavailable until everything adds up.

Will the rebalancing plan move my funds?

No, never. The plan lists concrete steps (amounts, source and destination) for you to execute yourself on your exchange or wallet. Patrima is read-only by design.

If I change my investor profile, does my allocation change?

No, never silently. Editing your profile can produce a new suggestion, but it applies only if you explicitly accept it. Your current targets stay in place until then. Accepting replaces your current target allocation, one you set on this page included: the suggestion page says so above its button, and Back to profile keeps your targets as they are.
